What is pink? A rose is pink，

By a fountain’s brink.

What is red? A poppy1)’s red，

In its barley bed2).

What is blue? The sky is blue，

Where the clouds foat thro’3).

What is white? a swan is white

Sailing in the light.

What is yellow? Pears are yellow,

Rich and ripe and mellow4).

What is green? The grass is green,

With small fowers between.

What is violet? Clouds are violet，

In the summer twilight5).

What is orange? Why, an orange,

Just an orange!

什么是粉色？粉色是玫瑰，

清水泉邊吐芳蕊。

什么是紅色？紅色是罌粟，

田間綻放花無數。

什么是藍色？藍色是天空，

白云朵朵飄其中。

什么是白色？白色是天鵝，

波光粼粼游江河。

什么是黃色？黃色是酥梨，

香香甜甜味甘飴。

什么是綠色？綠色是芳草，

小花點綴風光好。

什么是紫色？紫色是云霞，

夏日黃昏美如畫。

什么是橙色？咦，這還用問？

橙色就是橙子色。
