Pretty Pink Bike 漂亮的粉紅色自行車

One hot summer day I was sitting on my porch1 with a yellow shirt and flip-flops2 to match. My hair was in two pigtails. I was dripping popsicle all over the ground.

一個炎熱的夏日，我坐在門廊上，穿著一件黃色襯衫和人字拖鞋。我扎著兩條辮子，融化的冰棒滴了一地。

My daddy pulled up in my uncles big black truck. He came out with a pretty purple outfit short set and the matching flip-flops.

我爸爸慢慢停下了叔叔的大黑卡車。他拿出了一件漂亮的紫色短裝套裝和配套的人字拖鞋。

“Oh， thats it，” I said， hoping that some other accessory would come out with that outfit.

Then my uncle came out with a PRETTY PINK BIKE. He must have spotted me staring at the PRETTY PINK BIKE and he shouted out， “Ay， this isnt for you.”

So I got mad and stormed off before he could say anything else.

I was talking to my best friend Kierra.

“Whats wrong with you？” Kierra said， very frantic3 on her pretty purple bike.

“You have a pretty purple bike and I dont，” I said， feeling jealous4.

“Well， ask your daddy to buy you one，” Kierra said， as she peddled5 one more time.

“好吧，讓你爸爸給你買一輛唄，”凱爾拉再次慫恿道。

“He walked in the house with one but my uncle said it wasnt for me，” I said very loud and idiotic6.

“他帶著一輛車走進了屋子里，但我叔叔說那不是給我的，”我說得很大聲，還有點傻氣。

“Well， maybe he was just kidding. Thats what my daddy did to me when he got me my own purple bike，” said Kierra very confused7.

“也許他只是在開玩笑。我爸爸送我那輛紫色自行車時也是這個套路，”凱爾拉非常困惑地說道。

“Well， Im going to ask him，” I said running off without even saying goodbye.

“好吧，我去問他，”說著，我沒說再見就跑了。

Meanwhile， my dad and uncle were in the house laughing at my reaction8 towards the bike. So， I walked up and said， “Daddy， is that bike mine or what？ Because I dont have time to play with you，” I said very seriously.

與此同時，爸爸和叔叔在屋里嘲笑我對那輛自行車的反應。于是我走過去說：“爸爸，那是不是我的自行車？我沒有時間和你開玩笑，”我非常嚴肅地說。

“Yeah， its yours. Your uncle was just playing，” he said jokingly.

“是的，是你的。你叔叔只是和你鬧著玩，”他開玩笑地說。

I grabbed the bike and ran outside to try and ride it， but I couldnt， because I didnt know how.

我抓過自行車跑到外面去試騎，但我沒法騎，因為我不會。

“Daddy， how can you give me a bike when I have no skills to ride it？” I said very sarcastically9.

“爸爸，你怎么能在我沒有騎車技能時送我一輛自行車呢？”我非常諷刺地說道。

“I thought you knew how to ride the bike，” my daddy said laughing and joking around.

“我以為你知道如何騎自行車呢，”爸爸大笑，并以開玩笑的口吻說。

“No， you have to teach me how to ride a bike！” I said， starting to whimper10 and cry.

“我不會，你必須教我如何騎自行車！”我說，開始嗚咽和哭泣。

As I tried and tried I kept falling and it got very late. My daddy said we had to go in the house. My dad put the bike in the hallway as I was going to sleep. After my dad went to sleep， I woke up and started riding the bike down the hallway. I woke up my dad and told him Id finally learned to ride the bike without his help！

我試了一次又一次，一直在摔倒，而且天很晚了，爸爸說我們得進屋了。當我要睡覺時，爸爸把自行車放在走廊里。在他睡覺之后，我醒了，開始在走廊上騎自行車。我叫醒爸爸，告訴他我終于學會在沒有他幫助的情況下騎自行車了！
