同級比較

常見用法：

1. 甲 + be / 實義動詞? +? as + 形容詞 / 副詞原級 + as? +? 乙。如：

Dr. Yuan Longping had a dream that he could develop rice as large as peanuts. 袁隆平院士有一個夢想，那就是研發出像花生一樣大的稻米。

2. 甲 + be + not / 助動詞 + not + 動詞原形 + as / so + 形容詞 /? 副詞原級 + as + 乙。 如：

Tom cannot run as fast as his friends， so he practices running very hard.

湯姆不如他的朋友跑得快， 所以他很努力地練習跑步。

形容詞、副詞的比較級

常見用法：

1. 通常修飾比較級的詞有much，a lot，far，a little，a bit，even，still等。如：

Tom drives still more carefully than his brother.

湯姆開車仍然比他弟弟還認真。

2. 主語 + 動詞（be動詞 / 實義動詞） + 形容詞 / 副詞的比較級 + than + 比較對象，表示“……比……更……”。如：

High?speed trains are much faster than traditional ones.

高鐵要比普通火車快得多。

Emma loves animals and looks after her pet dog more carefully than her friends.

愛瑪喜愛動物，比她的朋友們照顧她的寵物狗更細心。

3. 比較級 + and + 比較級或more and more + 原級（多音節或部分雙音節詞），表示“越來越……”。如：

People in the rural areas live a happier and happier life with the care of the government.農村地區的人們在政府的關懷下過著越來越幸福的生活。

4. the + 比較級，the + 比較級，表示“越……，就越……”。如：

During the exam， the more careful you are， the fewer mistakes you’ll make.

在考試期間， 你越細心， 你出的錯誤就會越少。

5. Which + be + 比較級，A or B？ 表示“A和B，哪一個更……？”。如：

Which is bigger，the earth or the moon？地球和月球哪一個大？

6. 甲 +? be +? the + 形容詞比較級 + of the two + ...表示“甲是兩者中較……的”。如：

Look at the two boys. My brother is the taller of the two.

看那兩個男孩，我弟弟是兩個當中較高的那個。

形容詞和副詞的最高級

常見用法：

1. the + 形容詞 / 副詞最高級（ + 名詞） + in / of短語，表示“……中最……的”。如：

—Do you have any sales going today？

—Sure， we have the latest smart phones on sale.

——今天你們有什么活動嗎？

——當然有。我們有最新款的智能手機在搞特價銷售。

2. the + 序數詞 + 形容詞最高級 + 單數名詞，表示“第幾……”。如：

We know the Yangtze River is the third longest river in the world.

我們知道長江是世界上第三長河。

3. one of the + 形容詞最高級 + 復數名詞，表示 “最……之一”。如：

Running is one of? the most popular sports in China.

在中國，跑步是最受歡迎的運動之一。

4. 特殊疑問詞 + be / 實義動詞 + the + 形容詞 / 副詞最高級， A， B or C？表示“A，B，C哪一個最……？”。如：

—What subject do you like best， English， math or physics？

—Of course， English.
